We all know that staying hydrated is essential for overall health and wellbeing. And we do the best we can to drink enough water throughout the day. But it’s not enough to just drink water. In fact, when you drink water on a schedule, it can help you sleep better and get flawless skin.

Makeup artist, Dotti, has worked with singer, Alicia Keys, created a schedule to help women stay hydrated. Her method isn’t random or out-of-the-blue. In fact, Dotti tapped into Eastern European practices while creating this water schedule.

So, what is it exactly? Here it is in three simple steps:

  1. From the time you wake up until 2:00 PM, drink two liters of water. This helps your body flush and detox the kidneys and liver.
  1. From 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, drink one liter of water to keep yourself hydrated and skin looking refreshed and nourished.
  1. From 5:00 PM until bedtime, drink water only as needed. Since you’ve already had three liters of water, you only need to drink when you feel thirsty. Cutting back on water intake in the evening will also ensure that you sleep through the night, leaving you and your skin well-rested.

Winter time is an especially dehydrating season for a woman’s skin, and you can rely heavily on balms, lotions and creams. But when you hydrate from the inside out, you can give your skin the tools it needs to stay fresh, young and flawless.

In fact, California-based companies, who make or sell coffee, may soon need to warn consumers about a cancer-related chemical in their cup-a-Joe.
