Following the deadly shooting in Parkland, Florida, which has spurred a nationwide movement against gun violence, yet another shooting has occurred. It happened yesterday at YouTube’s headquarters in Northern California, where a female shooter shot three individuals. Authorities believe she then died of a self-inflicted gun wound.

The shooter has been identified as 39 year-old Nasim Najfi Aghdam. And it is still uncertain whether Aghdam knew any of her victims. However, investigators have found a website showing videos of Aghdam claiming YouTube restricted her videos.

The shooting occurred just before 1 PM on Tuesday, in San Bruno, California – about 10 miles from San Francisco. Over 1,000 individuals work at this YouTube office, including sales teams, engineers, advertisers and content creators.

Aghdam shot three individuals: a 36 year old man, a 32 year old woman, and a 27 year old woman. They are currently being treated at the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, and according to medical staff, they are “shocked, like we are every time these terrible things happen.”

Dr. Andre Campbell, the trauma surgeon who helped care for these victims, has treated many gunshot victims in his career. However, he took this opportunity to publicly speak about the unfortunate frequency of gun violence, which simply doesn’t get the national coverage, “It happens with such regularity. It’s unbelievable.”

Campbell also spoke against America’s ongoing gun violence problem, saying “I don’t have all the answers…at least we’re having a discussion about it nationally. This is a real problem.”
