Last week, Parkland shooting survivors united to form the #NEVERAGAIN movement. Their goal is to push politicians to change gun control laws to prevent school shootings from happening again. In a very short time they’ve attracted nationwide attention and coverage. And now, George and Amal Clooney are making generous donations to support next month’s gun control march.

The #NEVERAGAIN movement is currently organizing a nationwide march that will occur on March 24th. It will be called “The March for Our Lives”, and the focus will be gun control reform and effective changes in the nation’s laws.

The catalyst for this powerful movement is impassioned teens who refuse to accept non-action from government officials. And they’re inspiring people across the US, including Hollywood star, George Clooney, and his wife, human rights lawyer, Amal Clooney.

In a statement made to USA Today, Clooney said, “Amal and I are so inspired by the courage and eloquence of these young men and women from Stoneman Douglas High School…Our family will be there on March 24 to stand side by side with this incredible generation of young people from all over the country…”

But Clooney and his wife are showing up in another big way. They donated $500,000 to “help pay for this groundbreaking event.”

Oprah Winfrey followed suit, by matching the Clooney’s donation, saying in a tweet (@Oprah), “These inspiring young people remind me of the Freedom Riders of the 60s who also said we’ve had ENOUGH and our voices will be heard.”

Black Panther got lots of hype and media attention before its premier. And an excited audiences filled movie theaters to finally see this long-awaited movie. But these fans put on a show of their own, wearing African prints and dashikis to welcome a film that’s worth all the hype, attention and praise it’s received.
