Life can be busy and sometimes stressful. So, there’s nothing better than being able to come home and escape the craziness – at least for a little while. And how you decorate and style your home can help to make it a calm oasis to enjoy. Thanks to Ikea’s latest launch, your zen home is just a few clicks away.

Ikea’s limited-time launch, Hjärtelig, is inspired by wellness, and according to Swedish retailer, it “invites us to press the ‘pause’ button, if only for a little while, on a daily life that’s often hectic, complicated, and online.”

Hjärtelig was created by designers Maja Ganszyniec and Andreas Fredriksson, who offer simple, natural and warm pieces to make life easier and less stressful.

For example, the Hjärtelig bench with clothes rack/bedside table (pictured below) can serve many different functions. As designer Ganszyniec explains, “Here you can hang cloths for tomorrow and clothes that you don’t want in the wardrobe or thrown in the laundry. Under the bench, you can store your nice shoes – and try them on seated.”

There are so many other zen pieces available, like linen throws, cotton cushion covers, rattan bed headboards, vegetable wax scented candles and even a yoga mat, yoga strap and a bed canopy made from a linen-cotton blend.

As you can see, the pieces are minimal, and use sustainable and natural materials, such as cotton, cork, rattan and seagrass.

“Whether to practice some yoga, tend to a plant, or simply relax amongst beautiful, natural materials, the Hjärtelig collection is about the moments to re-focus and revitalize ourselves.”

But unfortunately, in your efforts to get rid of dirt and muck, you actually end up introducing harmful toxins into your home, which are also linked to increased cancer risk. Where do these harmful toxins come from? Common cleaning products.
