Last week, supermodel Kate Upton, took to Twitter and Instagram to speak out against Guess cofounder, Paul Marciano. Her accusation? Sexual harassment. Upton joins a long line of celebrities speaking out in the #METOO and #TIMESUP movement, and here’s what you need to know about her situation.

In a post from January 31st, Upton tweeted (@KateUpton) to her 2.37 million followers, “It’s disappointing that such an iconic women’s brand @GUESS is still empowering Paul Marciano as their creative director #metoo.”

On Instagram, her caption went into greater detail saying, “He shouldn’t be allowed to use his power in the industry to sexually and emotionally harass women #metoo.”

Upton didn’t share anything further, and Marciano has since denied her claims, saying that she hasn’t provided any facts, details, dates or circumstances to prove her claims. Marciano even suggested that Upton’s comments were a retaliation against Guess, for whom she no longer works.

However, while we wait to learn more details of Upton’s claims, two other women have replied to her initial tweet, suggesting that Upton’s experience is not singular.

@IAMSadeSellers commented in a tweet saying, “I worked with [Marciano] for a few years and was too afraid to say anything but this is true. So very true.”

Another woman, @SaviChick, came forward saying, “I personally know someone who was affected this way while I was working there.”

More information is necessary in order to know just how Upton, as well as these two other women – have been affected by Guess cofounder, Paul Marciano.
