Believe it or not, the new Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, is 36-years old. But her skin is young, smooth and absolutely glowing. What’s her secret? Along with a healthy diet and lifestyle, Markle also includes facial massages in her beauty routine. And if you want to keep your skin looking young and fresh, here are three facial massages for you to do at home, too.

Back in 2014, Meghan shared how facial massages help her to lift, firm and sculpt cheekbones. “I do facial exercises from one of my favorite aestheticians, Nichola Joss, who basically has you sculpt your face from the inside out.”

Sound too good to be true? Meghan continues, “I swear it works, as silly as you may feel. On the days I do it, my cheekbones and jawline are waaaay more sculpted. There’s a reason [Nichola Joss] is in high demand around awards season when every actress wants to look A-plus.”

In her video, Nichola Joss’s Top 3 Facial Massage Techniques, Joss shows you what to do:

Massage while cleansing

Massage your cleansing product into your hands. Then, keeping your first two fingers together, place them at the bridge of your nose and sweep them down around your eyes in a circular movement.

Then, with these same two fingers, sweep your fingers up and around your eyes, creating an arch on your forehead. Finally, widen your two fingers and starting at the chin, draw your fingers back along your jawline.

This stimulates the lymphatic system, helping you look awake and ready for the day.

Pop your cheekbones

To help your cheekbones lift and smile, slightly open your mouth to relax jaw. Then, take your thumb and index finger and place your thumbs on your cheekbone and your index finger on your temple. Then, in a circular motion, gently massage with your thumbs to lift and pop your cheekbones.

Bedtime oil massage

You can do this final massage right in bed, spending two or three minutes to gently press oil into your face. Then, you can repeat the circular and sweeping movements from the first cleansing massage.

Feel for tension along your jawline and encourage the muscles to relax and move up. By doing this, you encourage the facial muscles to sit up.
