Zero time to exercise? Try these quick workouts

It’s hard to find time for a decent workout. And for some of us, this is the perfect excuse to not exercise. Well, we hate to break it to you, but now you’re going to have to find a new excuse to skip your workout. These three workouts are fast! So, even if you “don’t have time”, you can still fit them into your daily routine.

High intensity interval training (HIIT)

You’ve probably heard of HIIT before. It’s made up of high intensity periods of exercise -usually 30 to 60 seconds – combined with rest periods. It really revs up your metabolism, and boosts your mood and cognitive function, according to this study.

Even a 7 to 10 minute HIIT routine, like the Scientific 7-Minute Workout, can be a great way to workout when you’re pressed for time.

Sun Salutations

You might not have time for a 45 minute vinyasa flow, but doing sun salutations for 10 minutes is already a decent workout. Research backs this up, saying “Sun salutation can be an ideal exercise to keep oneself in optimum level of fitness.”

Not sure how to do sun salutations? This tutorial shows you how.

Pilates

A hybrid of yoga and HIIT, Pilates is like an intense workout that’s less jarring on the body. Along with giving you an effective workout, it also “improves mental health outcomes,” according to this 2018 study.

If you’re on the fence, do Pilates along with music – it makes the whole workout so much more enjoyable.

Grudges might feel like the right thing to do. But the toxic energy they carry is not good for you, your physical health and your emotional wellbeing. In fact, the sooner you let that grudge go, the better off you’ll be. That’s not to say that letting go of a grudge is easy. It’s hard. Which is why these three steps are perfect for gals like you and me.
