Less than a week after giving birth, Khloé Kardashian has chosen a name for her daughter. It’s pretty typical for the Kardashian-Jenner clan to choose unusual names for their kids, like Stormi, North and West. But the newest Kardashian member may have a name that will surprise fans and followers. And not in a good way.
Yesterday on Twitter, the star shared a gushing message saying (@khloekardashian), “Our little girl, True Thompson, has completely stolen our hearts and we are overwhelmed with LOVE. Such a blessing to welcome this angel into the family. Mommy and Daddy loooooove you True!”
This caption reveals a room decked out in pink balloons and bouquets of pink roses.
In naming her baby daughter, True Thompson, Kardashian gives her the last name of father Tristan Thompson, despite cheating allegations that arose against him just days before True’s birth.
Why did Kardashian decide to use the father’s last name? According to a source, “Khloé still very much loves Tristan, and this baby is one half his. True is their child together. Giving the baby his last name was never in question.”
What about the first name? Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner, who is staying with her daughter and granddaughter, revealed on Instagram (@krisjenner) why Khloé may have chosen the name, True:
“My Grandfather’s name on my Dad’s side was True Otis Houghton…my real Dad’s name was Robert True Houghton…so I am so excited Khloe named her daughter True!!!”
To celebrate the arrival of little True Thompson, Kendall Jenner and Kim Kardashian also flew into Cleveland to welcome the baby.
