Last month, ABC was swift to cancel the primetime show, “Roseanne”, after Roseanne Barr posted racist Twitter posts. Now, in her first interview following the incident, Roseanne breaks down in tears, sharing that she is deeply remorseful and has “lost everything” following her tweets.

In a twitter storm, which Roseanne blamed on Ambien medication,  Roseanne wrote in a now-deleted tweet (@therealroseanne), “Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby = vj,” referring to Barack Obama’s former advisor, Valerie Jarrett.

On Sunday, nearly a month after the incident, her interview with Rabbi Shmuley (@RabiShmuley) reveals a tearful Roseanne, opening up about what happened.

“I don’t excuse it. I horribly regret it.” Roseanne continued, ‘Are you kidding? I lost everything and I regretted it before I lost everything. And I said to God, ‘I am willing to accept whatever consequences this brings because I know I’ve done wrong. I’m willing to accept what the consequences are,’ and I do, and I have. But they don’t every stop. They don’t accept my apology or explanation. And I’ve made myself a hate magnet.”

Roseanne also shared that she has since apologized publicly to Jarrett but has not yet had a response from her. Her tweet read, “@ValerieJarrett I don’t know if u saw it, but I wanted2 apologize to u 4 hurting and upsetting u with an insensitive & tasteless tweet. I am truly sorry-my whole life has been about fighting racism. I made a terrible mistake with caused hundreds of apple 2 lose their jobs. So sorry!”
