Last November, country music star, Carrie Underwood had a nasty fall – a “freak random accident” as the star put it. It left her with a broken wrist and a face injury that required 40 to 50 stitches. She’s kept a very private and low-key profile since then. But last night, fans finally got to see her for the first time since the accident.
Carrie Underwood has been away since January, when the accident occurred. At the time of the accident, Underwood shared, “When I am ready to get in front of a camera, I want you all to understand why I might look a bit different.”
In these last several months, Underwood has kept a low profile while recovering.
And last week, leading up the AMA awards, the country singer updated fans saying, “My wrist is almost back to normal, about 90% there.. and the docs say that last 10% will come in time. And my face has been healing pretty nicely as well. I definitely feel more like myself that I have in a while.”
Fans got to see for themselves last night when Carrie Underwood made her debut since the accident at the Academy of Country Music Awards, which were held in Las Vegas. She performed her new single, “Cry Pretty” and she got a minute-long standing ovation from the crowd.
Following the performance, fans flooded social media saying they didn’t notice any change in Underwood’s face. To them, she didn’t look any different, and looked amazing and gorgeous.
