On Friday night, Goldbergs actor, Jackson Odell, was found unresponsive in his California home. He was only 20 years old. Officials report that they do not suspect foul play as a cause of death. However, an investigation is underway and an autopsy will reveal more in the coming days.
Odell is best known for his role as Ari Caldwell in the ABC show, “The Goldbergs.” However, he’s been in show business since the age of 12, and has starred in shows like“Modern Family”, “iCarly” and “The Fosters.”
Along with his acting career, Odell was also a talented singer and songwriter, creating both original songs and covers. His very own“Wings of an Angel” was written for the 2018 film, “Forever My Girl.”
His family shared the following statement saying, “The Odell family has lost our beloved son and brother, Jackson Odell, on Friday. He will always be a shining light and a brilliant, loving and talented soul. He had so much more to share. Our family will always carry that truth forward. Our wish is that the rest of the world who knew and loved him does as well. We are now going to try to make sense of our immeasurable loss privately. We will not be making anymore statements.”
“Modern Family” co-star, Ariel Winter, shared on Twitter (@arielwinter1), “Devastated to hear about the passing of Jackson Odell. I knew Jackson since we were 12 years old, and he even appeared in an episode of Modern Family. We didn’t talk much as we entered into our high school years, but ‘m glad I got to spend time with him before his end. Very hard for me to hear about anyone passing away, but soon so young really saddens me. Sending love to his family and friends.”
