Melania Trump is keeping a low profile following a surgery last month. Now, reports reveal Trump will miss this year’s G7 meeting, along with the North Korea summit. Her absence is sparking curiosity and conspiracy theories. However, Trump says she is both well and at the White House.

On May 14, the First Lady underwent a medical procedure for a benign kidney condition at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. After remaining there for five nights, Trump returned to the White House. However, she has not made a public appearance since her return to the White House last month.

She had planned to join President Trump to the G7 Summit on June 8 and 9 in Quebec, Canada. She also had planned to travel to Singapore on June 12 for the meeting with North Korea’s leader Kim John Un.

As recently as Friday, Trump’s communications director, Stephanie Grisham, said the First Lady “is fine, she’s doing great.”

However, in an email on Sunday, Grisham wrote that Trump “Will not attend the G7 and there are no plans for her to travel to Singapore at this time.”

Speculations and conspiracy theories have been surfacing. Some say the First Lady underwent plastic surgery. Others hint that she snuck back to New York City.

Trump took to Twitter last week to address this (@FLOTUS), “I see the media is working overtime speculating where I am & what I’m doing. Rest assured, I’m here at the @WhiteHouse w my family, feeling great, & working hard on behalf of children & the American people.”
