If you’re like most, you miss Michelle Obama. Every since she and former President, Barack Obama, left the White House, women across the United States have been waiting for news about her memoir. On Sunday, Michelle Obama announced when her memoir will be released, and fans are already counting down the days.
Last year, both Barack and Michelle Obama signed a book deal, with profits in the tens of millions. Since then, Michelle has been hard at work, penning her first memoir, “Becoming”. It will be available on November 13, 2018.
What can you expect from the former FLOTUS?
Michelle’s book is a honest and witty work of art, and publisher, Penguin Random House, describes “Becoming” as “a work of deep reflection and mesmerizing storytelling.”
And while so many of us got to know Michelle as the First Lady, this book gives readers the opportunity to get to know her on an even more intimate level. In a tweet (@MichelleObama), Michelle shared that “Writing BECOMING has been a deeply personal experience.”
And while recounting her Chicago childhood, Michelle says “I talk about my roots and how a girl from the South Side found her voice.” The memoir also details her struggle with work-life balance, and of course, her experience as FLOTUS.
Michelle Obama has long been an advocate for women, and in sharing her story, Michelle shared that “I hope my journey inspires readers to find the courage to become whoever they aspire to be.”
No doubt, “Becoming” will only make us love and respect this iconic woman even more.
