If you’re someone who likes to make New Year’s resolutions, you’ve probably already come up with an ambitious list of to-do’s for 2018. While goal-setting is a great way to kickstart new changes, goal-setting can also fade away after a couple weeks or months. That’s why you need to break down your goals and schedule them in – it’s what successful women are doing this January. Be a successful woman this year!
Your goals will vary from everybody else’s, but one thing’s for sure: big goals look ad sound exciting, but you need to give them a realistic and down-to-earth approach. For example, if your 2018 goal is to lose weight, you first have to think of the steps necessary to make that goal happen.
So, instead of just losing weight, you could:
- Pack homemade lunches more frequently
- Eat vegetarian three times per week
- Reduce your sugar intake
- Move your body in a way that you enjoy three times per week
As you can see, “losing weight” is actually the sum of it’s many parts. The fun part is that you get to choose how and when you will achieve this 2018 goal.
After you’ve broken up your big goal into small, do-able goals, it’s time to schedule them into your planner.
Which days of the week will you try to each a vegetarian menu? Which days will you treat yourself to your favorite latte, and which days will you have tea instead? How about exercise? Give it a specific date and time to help you stay acaountableand on track with your big “lose weight” resolution.
As you can see, having a big goal is the first step to making long-lasting life changes. But the secret to achieving these goals is to divide them into do-able action steps and schedule them into your daily planner.
