Do you hear yourself complaining about this, that and the other thing? The mind is a muscle, and just like exercise, it can take some time and effort to kick bad habits to the curb and replace them with better ones. That’s why this little practice is so perfect. It’s the simplest and easiest way to turn your complaints into a list of blessings to be grateful for.

Every single day there are things we could get upset or annoyed about. And they don’t have to be big things. In fact, most of the time, we get irritated by the little things that fill our day.

They’re usually basic things like this:

  • Getting up early
  • Doing laundry
  • Shoveling the snow
  • Cold weather
  • Your annoying co-worker
  • Not enough money to spend
  • Going to work

The only problem is, if we constantly focus on what we don’t like, we completely miss the good things that are happening.

And we’re not saying that the bad things happen, and then, there’s a bunch of separate good things that happen. More often than not, the bad and the good things are one and the same. We just see them as only bad.

Here’s how you can turn some of those common complaints into blessings:

  • Getting up early = A new day for you to be alive
  • Doing laundry = Giving your favorite wardrobe pieces some TLC
  • Your annoying coworker = You’re not alone
  • Going to work = A job that allows you to live a life you can enjoy

As you can see, your complaints often disguise the good things that you already have in your life. So, ask yourself if there’s one complaint you have and see if you can see the good hiding beneath it.

Staying hydrated is key for beautiful, clear skin. So, we try to drink the recommended 8 to 10 glasses per day. Some women are more extreme, and drink up to 3 liters of water per day.
