Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding is less than a month away, and details of the royal nuptials continue to emerge. The latest news broke this morning that Prince Harry has asked his brother, Prince William, to serve as his best man at the royal wedding on May 19.

The news was shared on Twitter (@KensingtonRoyal), in a post saying, “Prince Harry has asked his brother The Duke of Cambridge to be his Best Man at his wedding to Ms. Meghan Markle.”

Prince Harry’s choice comes as little surprise. Back in 2011, he himself stood in as best man when Prince William wed Kate Middleton in 2011.

Prince William, who just this week became a father of three, with the birth of his second son, released a statement from his residence, Kensington Palace, saying, “The Duke of Cambridge is honoured to have been asked, and is very much looking forward to supporting his brother.”

Prince William’s support is heartwarming. Just yesterday, he joined Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at Westminster Abbey to celebrate the Anzac Day of Commemoration. There, Prince William greeted Markle with a kiss on the cheek.

The wedding will take place at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor, followed by a ceremony at the Windsor Castle. Over 600 wedding guests are invited to the wedding ceremony. An additional 200 guests are invited to the evening reception.

Do we know who Markle’s maid of honor will be? There have been guesses and speculations, including Priyanka Chopra, however Markle has not yet made an official announcement.
