The Kickstart project, Make 100: Personalized Valentines Day Cards Made By Machines, is the passion project of a Brooklyn-based artist, Derrick Schultz. He’s been making Valentines for several years, using computer code and a drawing machine from the 1980s.
This year, his Kickstart project is all about re-igniting the feeling of fun, hope and love that comes from giving and receiving a special Valentine. And when you pledge, you can add a personalized message to his ready-made designs, like this one:
